Supreme Court refuses to interfere in death case of 8 SIMI members in Bhopal encounter

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has refused to interfere in the death case of 8 SIMI members in the Bhopal Encounter. The Supreme Court refused to consider the petition of Jameet Ulema against the Bhopal encounter's judicial inquiry report. During the hearing, the Supreme Court cited the report given in the investigation report 2017.

Actually, in the 17-page report, the Commission not only upheld the police action but also said that according to Section 41 and 42 of the Criminal Procedure Code, police action can not be objected. The petition was filed by Mohammad Jalil Khilji.

The petition, highlighting the flaws in the commission, said that the Supreme Court examined the encounter with the Special Investigation Team and the court would monitor the investigation itself.

Sher Singh, a MP from Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) from Ferozepur, joined the Congress in the presence of Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday.
